Welcome to the state of Virginia. A magical place, once for lovers; now a den of political bolsheviks intent on creating their version of a utopian collective. (I.e. – they’ll do the collecting, and leave you and me on the outside)
Meanwhile,
834 senate bills
1529 house bills
That’s 2,363 bills posted, reviewed, passed, etc. That’s not counting the resolutions, not as many, but seriously, why do they bother announcing special recognitions for folk. Used to be the local community would do it, and be done with it. Time wasted for frippery. Using that old word brings to mind a few others: muckraking, malfeasance, maybe mendacity?
Not what we’re here for. It’s the liberal party and its operators in both sides of the house. While the governor goes out and performs for the media glitz, the weasels in Richmond are spitting out major changes in governance, law, and taxes. Why? I have no idea as to who voted them into office, but I see them on the street protesting Orange-man bad. Utter nonsense. When confronted with the factual changes being proposed/installed, these lemmings simply shrug and say ‘they know what they’re doing.’
All this activism from disconnected politicians worries me. Behaving civilly and voicing our discontent only goes so far. This has occurred in history too, back in the 1760’s. Dictates from the pseudo-elite provoke a response from the citizenry. Escalation happens. Yet, from what we know of that time, we know the main culprit.
Tariffs. Taxes. Money.
This is what allows a government to exist. If you disagree with that, and choose not to participate (not paying), you are criminally liable. Resistance is criminal. Detachment from that government is only possible with that government’s permission. All personal freedoms are decided by who has the most money.
The big news of the (tomorrow) day is the Virginia referendum vote to lock in a liberal majority. I expect the outcome to be in favor of the ‘yes’ vote. Not due to some magical surprise voter turnout out, but a collection/tabulation error. And they’ll never find a smoking gun to prove it. So, whats a citizen to do, when a small majority games the system?
