We’re All Equal In The Eyes Of The Law 🤣

This article about the Arctic Frost investigations looks pretty good. But first, my insipid interpretation.

We all are aware that money talks, protesters walk. Also, power can be stronger than money. So, when those in-or-out of power get caught in the cookie jar, connections, then money, come into play to make problems go away. For us plebes, if we can find a good lawyer ($$$), we might walk away unscathed.

Unless…

Unless the ‘law’ has it in for us.

Lawfare and/or political persecution is as old as time. The degrees that some go to are as valid as any possibility. In the end, it’s who gets caught when the music ends. If all the dancers are on the floor, why do some of them get automatically excused, based on what place on the dance floor they occupy(ied).

Public servants are just that: public. I understand that there cannot be unrestricted laws/charges against them. But they also shouldn’t receive carte blanche with an unrestricted pass. And let’s not get started on how there are plenty of internal checks and balances. Fox guarding the henhouse???

Last, there should be a statute of limitations (in these cases, say 30 years) on what should be audited. Put the fear of the plebes onto the presumed guilty. Hard to keep up a shell game for 30+ years without a mistake.

Arctic Frost Is a Real Scandal

Arctic Frost Is a Real Scandal

ELI LAKE

If you don’t read conservative media, the phrase “Arctic Frost” might not mean much to you. It isn’t a new soft drink or a reference to an icy tundra. It’s the code name for the FBI’s 2022 investigation into Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election—a “fishing operation” for the phone records of hundreds of Trump allies during the week of January 6, 2021, including nine Republican senators. Eli Lake says it’s a real scandal, and warns of its degrading effect on our politics
