Slacking off, blogosphere style. What’s to rant about? Government bullshit continues; academia is wanking off; I’ve been on a weird string of good deeds and payin’ it forward. Like I’m in search of good karma, and instead, wind up receiving a bucket of shit every day by the FedEx driver. The ones that fling packages at your front door. Makes me wonder if Amazon sells stuff like that.
Meanwhile, what’s with all the rebooting of old TV shows? Or movies? I’m expecting some network to claim they’ve created a clone of Lucille Ball, just to start that up again. And they wouldn’t have to pay squat, because there are no laws about clones. Scary thought: cloning becomes successful, term limits abandoned, we get stuck with the current ‘elite’ forever. If they don’t offer free (not if there’s a buck to be made) legal euthanasia, then there’ll be one more movie/TV show: The Purge – Live Participation. On the bright side, jobs in cloning would skyrocket, until drugstore kits are marketed below $50.
Which leads me to something from the Twitterverse: a rumor going around that all available gun patterns are going to be posted for free. Comments from the Left are as expected; nothing from the Right. ??? Surely there would be somebody praises or something. My question is the end game: who benefits? Also, one responder did say anyone with a (metal) lathe could make a gun. {it’s a bit more complicated than that}
Last (mostly whine) rant is with all the food recalls this summer. If I recall correctly, the 1st major one was for dog food? The link takes you to the FDA’s page with the latest 60-day listing. I may be imagining, but it seems more than an assorted bunch of mishaps.
Life. There’s always something trying to take it away from you.
